A Little Bit More About The Studio 3P Team.

The early years:
Studio 3P LLC originally opened as Carolina Photographics in 1977 in Charlotte, NC. In 1996, we moved to the Columbia area. While in Charlotte, Carolina Photographics was a part of Consolidated Studios, and concentrated on commercial advertising, primarily under contract to the Belk Company to provide images for the “Sunday supplements” as they were known, and distributed with major newspapers in the marketing area. Also, Carolina Photographics was contracted to hire, train, and manage mobile photographers for large companies such as Olan Mills, Rainbow Productions, Anderson Photo Corp.
The move to Columbia:
In 1996, Carolina Photographics moved to the Columbia area as a commercial photographer for hire under contract.
Today’s Venue:
After many years of travel throughout the US, Carolina Photographics re-branded to a high-end portrait studio and settled into a permanent studio in 2014. After two expansions and a move, we are finally home in Irmo! Our purpose-designed 1000+ square foot studio is ready to serve the area's photographic needs. We also have onsite another 600 square feet of prop and wardrobe storage, as well as access to the fabled “magic attic” belonging to our stylist, Kimberly, that is filled with a lifetime‘s worth of collected eccentricities sure to fulfill any client’s set building designers.
Roots:
We at Studio 3P are enthusiastic about our community.
Kimberly moved to Irmo with her family in 1976. She, William and Randy, are the organizers of the Irmo Cherry Blossom Festival, and Kimberly and William founded the Carolina Kimono Club. Randy serves on the Okra Strut Commission, is currently on the the Board of Directors for the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce, is also a Diplomat with the Chamber and was awarded the Order of the Okra in 2018 for his tireless service.
